Health & wellness insights

Body Composition
Body composition gives a more accurate overall picture of your health, compared to calculations such as BMI or body fat percentage, which do not take into account lean muscle mass.

Vascular Age

Insulin Resistance
Insulin is a hormone that regulates blood sugar levels. Too much sugar leads to resistance of insulin which causes damaged arteries, high cholesterol and high blood pressure.

Microcirculation
Your body’s blood circulatory system is a critically important part of your cardiovascular system. It is within this branching network of microvessels that the transport and exchange of heat, respiratory gases, nutrients, waste products, water and hormones occurs between blood and your tissues.

Oxidative Stress
Oxidative stress is what happens to your body through the action of free radicals. These are a normal by product of the body’s energy generating biochemical processes, but they are also produced in response to poor lifestyle choices and exposure to UV light, air pollution and industrial chemicals.

Stress & Fatigue
Chronic stress overstimulates the autonomic nervous system (ANS). Feeling angry, wired and tired is common. Poor sleep triggers underlying mechanisms that lead to chronic disease. Yet daily lifestyle choices can be the difference in preventing the physiological effects that manifest in serious illness.
Scanning technology
A combination of 4 technologies enable clinicians to obtain detailed analysis of the body:
Bioimpedence analysis
Using an electrical current that conducts through water in your body (to calculate tissue fluid levels), this technique estimates body composition by measuring body fat mass and free fat mass and extracellular water — an indirect marker for inflammation.
Galvanic skin response
Measures changes in electrical properties of the skin in response to stress or anxiety. This tool provides insights into how your autonomic nervous system is functioning, this is particularly important when considering stress impact on your body.
Heart rate variability
Heart rate variability (HRV) measures the fluctuation in the time intervals between adjacent heartbeats. Measuring this means we can assess fluctuations in healthy individuals and patients with various cardiovascular (CVD) and non-CVD disorders.
Pulse wave analysis
Measures arterial stiffness is a good measurement of whether arteries have narrowed from atherosclerosis decreasing blood flow and increasing the risk of heart attack and stroke.
